시놉시스

대학교 4학년에 재학 중인 고낙준씨는 뇌병변으로 신체 및 언어장애를 갖고 있다. 새롭게 전동휠체어를 장만하게 된 낙준씨는 선배 졸업식에도 가고, 동아리 MT에도 참가하여 토론도 하며 즐거운 시간을 보낸다. 동아리 학우들과는 소통에 별 어려움이 없다. 개강 후 졸업작품 발표 세미나 시간. 낙준은 자신의 시 <타인의 외출>을 발표한다. 그러나 다른 학우들은 그의 발표를 전혀 알아듣지 못한다.

기획의도

언어 및 신체장애를 갖고 있는 한 대학생의 일상을 통해 소통의 문제를 보여주고자 한다. 가족이나 친구들과는 어려움 없이 의사소통이 가능한데, 그에게 무관심하거나 그를 두려워하는 사람들에게는 그의 언어는 알아들을 수 없는 소음에 불과하다. 그러나 관심을 가지고 긴 호흡으로 그의 말에 귀를 기울이면 그의 말은 이해되어질 수 있다. <소리>는 세상 사람들이 속도를 조금만 늦추고 그의 말에 귀 기울이면 장애의 턱은 낮아 질 수 있다는 것을 보여주고자 한다.
